Step #1: Open Netscape 6 Mail Program (Messenger)
  1. Click "Edit" under the main program menu.
  2. Click "Mail/News Account Settings".
Step #2: Accounts Settings
  1. Click the first button titled "New Account" in the bottom left corner.
Step #3: Account Wizard - New Account Setup
  1. Click the circle next to "IS or E-mail Provider" once to select it.
  2. After you have selected Newsgroup account click the "Next" button.
Step #4: Account Wizard - Identity
  1. Next to the field called "Your Name" enter the name you want people see when you send them an e-mail.  

    NOTE: This does NOT have to be your name.  In the example here we have used the name "John Doe", but this can be changed to Mr. Doe, J. Doe, etc.
  2. Next to the field for " Email Address" enter in your NTS e-mail address.  This is usually your User Name followed by "@ntslink.net".  Like in our example below this persons User Name is "johndoe" so his e-mail address is "johndoe@ntslink.net".
  3. Click the "Next" button to proceed.
Step #5: Account Wizard - Server Information
  1. Make sure the pull down menu next to  "Server Type" is set at "POP Mail Server".
  2. In the filed next to "Server Name" type "mail.ntslink.net".
  3. Click the "Next" button.
Step #6: Account Wizard - Username
  1. Next to the field for "User Name" type your User Name.
  2. Click the "Next" button.
Step #7: Account Wizard - Email Address
  1. Next to the field for " Account Name" enter in your NTS e-mail address.  
Step #8: Email Account Created
  1. Here you will see a recap of all the information you have entered.  If all your information is correct proceed.  If not, click the "Back" button to make any changes.
  2. Click the "Finish" button to complete the setup.
Step #9: Setup Complete - Verify Information
  1. Make sure "Your Name" and "Email Address" is set to your proper settings
  2. Next to the field for "Reply-to Address" type out your Email address.  This is to prevent messages you have sent to others from NOT being replied to.
  3. Next to the field for "Organization" you can enter in your company name.  This is not required.
  4. Click "OK" to finish the setup.
